William M. (Mike) Solomons

A native Savannahian, Mike Solomons has worked at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Savannah, Georgia for more than 35 years. Mike is a retired Master Sergeant with over 24 years of active duty and guard service in the USAF and Georgia Air National Guard, with his last assignment in the military as the NCOIC Employments and Relocations for the 165th Mission Support Flight, retiring in January 2006. Mike’s military career began right after high school in the USAF as a “SAC-Trained” Security Policeman, later transferring from Grand Forks AFB, ND to the 165th Tactical Airlift Group (now 165th Airlift Wing), where he served to assist in State and National Disaster relief efforts, and in overseas contingency operations. His twenty-one plus years in the GA ANG afforded him opportunities in four different career fields and seven different units. During his military career, he was also able to earn two Associates Degrees and a BA in Human Resources from Saint Leo University and a MA in Information Management from Webster University. Mike has been employed by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation since April 2006 in several different Security positions while also teaching part-time for ten years as a former adjunct instructor for Columbia College at the satellite campus located at Fort Stewart, Georgia. In his current position as a Global Security Specialist II, he has worked closely with managers and Global Security Operations and Technology Department team members to mitigate security risks by conducting Physical, Remote Risk and Site Security Assessments. Mike resides in Effingham County, Georgia with his wife of over 26 years, Deborah, and they have two children attending college.

Katrina is a Global Security Specialist Sr at Gulfstream Aerospace, with responsibility for security operations for sites outside of Savannah. She has been in that role since May 2019. Katrina leads risk assessments for the Gulfstream global sites, establishes security operations at facilities, works closely with Security Technology on new site projects, and supports Business Continuity efforts and planning. Her previous experience was in the oil and gas industry with an international drilling contractor for over 10 years with operations across the US and 10 different countries. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in History, bachelor’s degrees in both Sociology and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Sociology. Katrina has been active in ASIS since 2013.

Gerard “Jerry” Easley currently serves as the ASIS Assistant Regional Vice President (ARVP) for Region 4B, which consists of the Savannah Low Country Chapter, Hilton Head Island, SC and Bluffton, SC, Greater Charleston SC Chapter and the Southeast Georgia Chapter in Brunswick, Georgia. Jerry is a former ASIS Savannah Low Country Chapter Chairperson.
Jerry is the Principal at ESA Investigations & Security, LLC a State licensed Private Investigative and armed Security Officer company based in Liberty County, Georgia. Licensed State Instructor to deliver instruction for the basic 24 hour Security Officer and 70 hour Private Investigator courses of instruction.
Previously, served as an Intelligence Research Specialist within a Crime Gun Intelligence Center for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Other ATF assignments included five years in ATF’s OPSEC Threat Assessment Branch where Jerry conducted Threat Assessments on ATF employee’s who had received job related threats and conducted Risk Assessments on ATF facilities nationally. Served as an ATF Personnel Security Specialist (Adjudicator) where Jerry adjudicated (judged) completed Single Scope Background Investigations (SSBI’s) and granted national Security clearances up to the “Top Secret” level for ATF employee’s, applicants and contractors.
Considered highly skilled and an expert in conducting Threat & Risk Assessments. Jerry is certified and experienced in performing Threat/Risk Assessments by ASIS/U.S. Federal Protective Service and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Is a certified Physical Security Specialist, by FLETC, a Senior Analyst, Level III by a DOD component agency, certified Law Enforcement Instructor by FLETC.
Former Law Enforcement & Security Officer, Supervisory Federal Police Officer, Criminal Investigator/Fulton County Police Officer (DEA Task Force Agent), K-9 Officer and former State Trooper.

Jim served three years in the military, 8 years in law enforcement and 26 years in the cash-in-transit industry (22-Brinks’ and 4-Loomis) with a total of 20-years in senior level positions of Area General Manager, District Manager and Regional Director/Regional Vice President. During this time span he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a M.A. Degree in Management.
Jim has been interviewed on security loss events by CNN, ABC, New York Times and other Canadian and US news media and publications. He is considered a global expert in the security risk assessment process and is a sector chief for commercial facilities for South Carolina Infra-Guard, an FBI sponsored organization.
Jim continues to serve as an expert witness within the security industry, retained by both defense and plaintiff attorneys and organizations in the U.S., Canada and South America to provide expert opinions in security cases pending litigation.
Jim is also vetted as a Private Security Contractor for the U.S. Department of State Anti-terrorism Assistance (ATA) Program to train law enforcement officers, military and private security professionals where he has served as staff and lead instructor for 50 ATA courses, training federal, state, local law enforcement and private security professionals for the following countries: Afghanistan, Egypt, Columbia, Jordan, Mexico, India, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uganda, Pakistan, Philippines, Tunisia, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Chad, Niger, Mauritania, India, Yemen, Libya and Saudi Arabia Kingdom.
Jim is one of approximately 200 security professionals world-wide to hold all three ASIS Board Certifications in Security Management, Physical security and Investigations which are accredited by the Department of Homeland Security, International Standards Organization and American National Standards Institute.
